Alive Layered Series has been an ongoing series since 2025

Alive Layered extends the series Alive by introducing additional surfaces and materials — resin, extra strata of lines, and subtle interventions. These layers challenge the simplicity of the basics, contrasting the raw immediacy of the line with a sense of weight, distance, and transformation.

The works remain minimal in form, but the added layers complicate perception. The resin fixes what was once fragile, while reflections and textures disturb the clarity of black-and-white contrast. Each line is still alive, but its vitality is refracted, mediated through surfaces that both protect and obscure.

This series continues my exploration of duality: presence and absence, fragility and permanence, simplicity and resistance. By layering, I test how much the line can hold — and how far it can stretch meaning without losing its essence.
