Alive Series has been an ongoing series since 2025

Alive marks a new chapter in my practice. After years of working with delicate, almost invisible lines that required close attention, this series reverses the perspective. The lines are bold, black and white, immediately visible — yet paradoxically more difficult to look at when approached.

The works explore a duality of perception: from afar they appear minimal, almost static; up close they resist the eye with their intensity. The details are simple — thickness, rhythm, interruptions, dots — yet this very simplicity creates a restless vibration. It is not complexity that unsettles, but the stark contrast of black and white, the insistence of repetition, the refusal to resolve into calmness.

The series continues my long-term investigation into the line as diary, but here the line is less silent and more insistent: imperfect, unstable, alive.
